Welcome to Tredham
Home of the The Painted Cave adventures of Edgar, Rhiann and Willan
Outsiders knew the village – if they knew it at all – as Tredham. But to Ed, Rhiann and Will, who had never left, it was always just the village.
Like so many villages back in those old days, Tredham was small, remote and poor: just a handful of plain thatch and timber farm cottages huddled beside a little stream in a narrow valley beneath the craggy Granach mountains.
It was a place where people lived tough, simple lives, working hard in their farms, fields and gardens to coax a crop from the stony soil. Where everyone knew that bad weather and a poor harvest could mean a hungry year for them all.
Yet Tredham was also a place of kindness and warmth. It was a community where, knowing that bad luck could fall on anyone, neighbours would help each other in need. A place where when the hard day’s work was done friends would come together to share meals, stories and songs.
Join the children of Tredham on their adventures, as they explore their world, and find how even humble places can be home to big stories.
